We are pleased to announce the 2022 recipients of the Joseph & Catherine Millane Scholarships and Grants.
The Millane Scholarship program supports Jefferson County students that are pursuing a degree in agriculture or health care. “Joe and Catherine Millane left a wonderful legacy by creating an endowed scholarship for students in Jefferson County,” said Amy Nossaman, Grants Program Manager. The scholarship is a progressive scholarship totaling $16,000 over four years; $1,000 in the 1st year, $2,500 in the 2nd, $5,000 in the 3rd, and $7,500 in the 4th and final year.
Seven Jefferson County students have been named recipients of the 2022 Millane Scholarship.

The Millane Care Facility Program Assistance provides grants to assist nursing care facilities in Jefferson County, Iowa, and to provide activities and entertainment to its residents.
Addington Place of Fairfield to purchase two fish tanks and associated equipment as well a transportation van.
Parkview Care Center to support the facilities Serenity Aviary.
Fairfield Senior Citizens Center to support activities, entertainment, and health related programs.
The Millane Endowment is administered by the Legacy Foundation. Scholarship applications and Care Facility Program Assistance applications are accepted each year from December 1 to March 31.
