We are proud to welcome Indian Hills Community College President Dr. Marlene Sprouse as the newest member of the Ottumwa Regional Legacy Foundation Board of Directors. Dr. Sprouse has been at the helm of Indian Hills since November of 2013. Her professional career is an impressive 35 year span that began as a high school English teach. Later, Marlene held positions as a K-12 curriculum director and high school principal before coming to IHCC in 2000, first as Dean of the Centerville Campus, then as Vice President of Academic Affairs. Her experience includes teaching faculty development courses, and facilitating new faculty and new administrator workshops. Dr. Sprouse holds an Associate of Arts degree from Indian Hills, a Baccalaureate degree from Truman State University, and Master’s, Specialist, and Doctorate degrees from Drake University. “We are so excited that Marlene has joined us”, stated ORLF Board Chairman Byron Leu. “She brings with her not only exceptional leadership skills but also an unparalleled knowledge of education.”
